On Sunday 16th September 2018 Camden Mens Bowling Club held their Singles Championships with 10 juniors taking part.

They played in two groups of five players with the top two playing the Semi Finals then on to the final.

Semifinalists were Mia Hotson, Chris Hill, Ben Cade & Sharleyne Gay. Both semifinals were hotly contested with Sharleyne just beating Ben 21 – 19, and Chris shading Mia 21 – 16. Some great bowling which was appreciated by the spectators.

The final was a tough match with Chris winning 21 – 11 over Sharleyne.

It was pleasing to see the improvement in our junior bowlers from last year as the standard has increased dramatically.

Camden juniors (Mia Hotson, Chris Hill, Ben Cade & Sharlyene Gay)have performed very well at the just completed NSW CHS Teams Championships held at the Warilla Bowling Club finishing in Fourth place. Mia Hotson was the Sydney South West Regions “Best Bowler” and was selected in the NSW CHS Team to play in Melbourne at the National Championships.
All the juniors played exceptional bowls and were a credit to the Camden Club and their families.

The Zone 5 Junior Championships have just been completed at Camden Bowling Club with a number of our members competing with excellent results.
Singles: Mia Hotson 3rd, Chris Hill 5th, Angus Powell 6th
Pairs: Mia Hotson 3rd, Chris Hill & Ben Cade 5th, Angus Powell 8th
Fours: Mia Hotson 1st, Chris Hill, Ben Cade & Angus Powell 2nd.

A great result for such a new group of bowlers.

Mia is off to the State Championships at Warilla Bowling Club as a member of the Fours team.

Mia and Chris have been selected in the Zone 5 7-A-Side team to compete at Dubbo Bowling Club in August. Mia in the Singles and Chris in the Fours.

All the kids have been a great credit to our club.

Three members of the Camden Bowling Club were selected for the Zone 5 Juniors to play Zone 12 Juniors at St Johns Park Bowling Club on Sunday 2nd April 2017 and acquitted themselves very well. Mia Hotson, Ben Cade and Chris Hill played in the winning sides. Overall Zone 5 won 82 to 73, 3.5 rinks to 2.5 rinks.

Great job by our representatives.
